Early Tin Potato Baking Rack - c. 1910

This old kitchen gadget is 15 1/8" long (including the wire handle) x 2 1/2" wide. It's made of heavy duty sheet tin with turned down edges to form a base. There are 6 bent up tabs to stab the potatoes on, you then slide the whole contraption into the oven.

It's marked "PAT'D. AUG. 1 1909 MADE IN U.S.A." and also "SS CO" for Springfield Specialty CO. It's in very good condition and quite sturdy. No doubt you could use this if desired, and it would make a great and unusual display piece hanging on your kitchen wall!
