Offered is this antique pie lifter dating to c. 1880. It's made of heavy spring steel with curved "fingers" that grasp either side of your pie (or other hot plate with a rim). The wire fingers on the end are fixed, while the sliding mechanism allows the 2nd set to be moved and adjusted anywhere from 2" - 14 1/2", enabling it to pick up a variety of different size plates. Overall length is 20".
Condition is excellent ...a utilitarian kitchen collectible that makes a terrific period display piece in any country or farmhouse kitchen!
Please note that the pie pan in photo 1 is not included with the lifter. (The lifter held the plate in place very well and could be used as intended if so desired.)
