Here is a fine old spouted cake mold, dating to c. 1880. It's made of heavy tin with a rolled outer edge, and measures 11 1/2" x 4 1/4" high. Condition is quite good with just a few spots of minor surface oxidation on the inside. There are 2 small (looks like nail punched) holes on opposing sides at the rim, seen in the last photo. There may have been a wire added there for hanging at some point, as there's no evidence this mold ever had a hanging ring. It has lost most all of its original shiny tinning, and now has a lovely pewter gray patina.
The nice large size makes a great display on the kitchen wall, or it's large enough to use to display other small kitchen items such as cookie cutters, smaller molds or even holiday decor. An excellent addition to any tinware collection!
