c 1900 Cottolene Tin Cookie - Doughnut Cutter
This is a nice old heavy duty tin advertising cutter. "COTTOLENE For All Frying and Shortening" is embossed around the outer edge of the top, and around the loop handle (in smaller letters) is incised "Metal Spec. MFG. Co. Chicago". It has a springy 5-armed doughnut hole cutter insert, which can be removed to cut cookies or biscuits. Condition is very good with a small amount of surface oxidation, the cutter shows a nice dark patina. Measures 3" in diameter x 1/2" high.
