Exquisite antique little Japanese porcelain ewer or pitcher with lovely hand painted roses in shades of pink and lavender floral trim with moriage beading in raised gold gilt. It has the Hand Painted Nippon mark in green with the maple leaf dating it to the early 1900s.
Measures approximately 5 1/2 inches tall to the top of the handle, 4 5/8 inches to the lip of the spout. The base is 2 3/4 inches diameter, swelling to approximately 5 inches diameter at widest point. In very good conditional overall, no chips, cracks. It does have some wear to the beading around the spout. The lavender flowers have a few ends of petals missing color, but appears to be under the glaze. The gilt is worn on the handle.
