I am please to offer for purchase a lovely Hobbs Amberina tumbler #236. The Ruby Amber colors are pictured in the Polka Dot Section starting on page 68 in "Hobbs Brockunier & Co. Glass, Identification and Value Guide" 1997 Edition, by Neila & Tom Bredehoft. Collectors today often call this IVT or Inverted Thumbprint. I have also noticed it is also called Reverse Baby Thumbprint and Coin Dot.
I believe the color was originally called Ruby Amber which fits this color perfectly.
CONDITION: Excellent, no chips, stains, or cracks. This tumbler has quite a few bubbles in the glass and one has broken through with just a pin point hole. It is not rough to the touch. There is wear commensurate with approximately 125 years of age.
SIZE: 3-3/4" TALL X 2-3/4" OD (outside diameter)
The Ruby and Amber colors are very popular with collectors. This is a nice one for any antique tumbler collection.
A WORD ABOUT GENERAL CONDITION OF GLASS: Most of the glass I sell is vintage and as such, shows characteristics of age, which may include allowable base wear, bubbles, pattern irregularities, straw marks (inclusions/cooling marks) or mold marks. Vintage glass is rarely perfect and these characteristics are normal. Old glass may also have ash, sand, or dirt specks embedded in the glass. All of these features are expected to occur in vintage glass and can also occur in contemporary glass. I will do my best to describe any chips, cracks or other damage that would impact the value of the item.
Packaged Weight 1 lb. Sorry, I do not ship internationally.
