This is a HUGE cast iron cross, with a little childing kneeling down praying with a flower plant growing up. This is just such an endearing piece. It has 2 prongs at the bottom, so I assume it was used as some kind of marker to place in the ground. Maybe at a grave, or roadside, not sure what the purpose of it was, but this piece just spoke to me. It measures about 27 1/2 inches tall & is very heavy, a little under 12 pounds before packed, so shipping costs are higher because of the size & weight. It is quite rusted & some crazing, the back is not as rusted, so that tells me that it was propped up against something to keep the back from rusting as bad as the front. This is a very early piece, exact age unknown, but I would date it to the very early 1900's.
Due to the size & weight, shipping costs are higher. Because of this, there will be no International shipping.
