Huge Albumen Print of Venice 1890s J. Kuhn Paris Hand Colored

Fantastic hand-colored early photograph of Venice canal by a famous French photographer J. Kuhn. This beautiful and very atmospheric image shows a row of old apartment buildings with fantastic facades, a gondola in the foreground, and St. Marks Cathedral in the background.

This is the largest albumen print that I have ever seen and I was not able to find any other of similar size. This work comes nicely framed behind the glass and is ready to hang. Due to the presence of glass, my pictures of this work are not too good. It looks much better in real life.

The photograph is blind stamped in the lower right corner: J. Kuhn / 220. Rue de Rivoli / Paris.

Size framed: 31.25 x 26.5 inches Size of the image: 20.25 x 15.25 inches
