This striking 26" tall bisque shoulder head doll was made circa 1915 - 1924 by Lanternier & Cie porcelain factory in Limoge, France. She is marked: "Depose, Fabrication Francaise (in a rectangular box), Favorite No. 8, AL & Cie, Limoges, Ed Tasson." She has her original kid leather body with wood jointed arms, nice antique wig and a cork pate that is too large for her, and probably original clothing consisting of cotton pantaloons, petticoat, knit socks and a sadly shredding silk dress. She has a beautiful face with large dark brown glass eyes, open cut mouth with 4 upper teeth and pierced ears.
Condition: The bisque head is in good condition. No chips, cracks or repairs. Her left ankle has separated and needs a repair. Her beautiful dress is unfortunately shredding. She lacks shoes.
I love her expressive face. She only needs a little care to shine again as she should.
