This is a charming petite 8" tall circa 1922-1930s Unis France bisque head doll in original regional costume, and marked 71 149 60. UNIS stands for Union National Inter Syndicale Dolls which were produced from 1922-1960. she has a ball jointed body that I can't show without disturbing her original sewn on costume. she is marked on the back of the head UNIS FRANCE inside of a an almond shaped cartouche, with the numbers 71 and 149 on each side and 60 below. She has working sleep eyes.
Her costume consists of mohair wig with pate with attached earrings, hat with wide crimped brim, stockings, pantaloons, slip, red cotton skirt, pleated apron, blouse, plaid shawl, and cross necklace. She has shoes that don't quite match so I think 1 is a replacement.
Condition is good. No damage to the bisque. 1 shoe is likely replaced.
This little Miss is such a nice example and in a wonderful small size.
