This is a fabulous circa 1940s heavy sterling vermeil bracelet made by Hector Aquila for Coro. During the 1940s WWII years, silver was not available to be used for jewelry in the USA. Between 1943-1950 Coro, a USA company, contracted with Hector Aguilar's studio Taller Borda Silversmiths, to make a line of jewelry for Coro. This sturdy linked bracelet is marked on the back of an end segment MEXICO SILVER CORO HAND MADE. The bracelet has a rose gold finish over the sterling base.
The bracelet weighs 48.7 gr. It measures 7.5" wearable length and is 1" wide.
Condition is good but for some wear to the rose gold finish. Clasp holds well.
This is a very desirable piece, associated with both Hector Aquila and Coro, of excellent quality.
