This is a fine circa 1860s -1870s Civil War era 25" tall German made flat top or high brow hair style china head doll. She has an unmarked china shoulder head, possibly by Kestner, and an antique home made cloth body. She is dressed in antique clothing consisting of white cotton pantaloons and petticoat, brown socks, and a dark blue print dress with a deep 3 point collar.
Condition of the shoulder head is good. No chips, cracks or repairs. There are a few minor factory aberrations such as kiln specks, and there is some minor color wear to the hair in the back. The green silk ribbon trim on her dress is wearing away, and someone has slit the cuffs.
She is a good old girl, ready to display in your collection.
