Antique German C. F. Kling All Original 11" Blond Bisque Doll in Scottish Garb

This is a wonderful c. 1880s all original German C. F. Kling 11" tall blond bisque doll in Scottish garb. He lacks only his missing hat. The clothing has never been removed. He is dressed in a red and green plaid tartan kilt and sash pinned with a thistle brooch on the shoulder, a black velvet jacket, white ribbed silk vest, white cotton shirt, white cotton short pants underneath, matching kilt hose, black shoes with beaded buckle trim, and a wooly sporran also with cut steel bead work. The sash belt that attaches the sporran has had some repairs.

The shoulder head is a definitely a Kling model, with short curly blond hair. Lower arms are tinted bisque with well formed cupped hands with separate thumbs. The lower legs are also bisque, encased by the stockings and shoes. Though the complete bisque parts can't be seen I guarantee that they are all in perfect condition, free from and chips, cracks or repairs.

This is a truly fine cabinet size doll that retains a rare degree of originality. He displays beautifully.
