This is a large antique Victorian period sterling silver scroll brooch with a blank space in the center for a monogram. The brooch is marked on the back "STERLING FRONT", so the front face is sterling and the back is not. The brooch is in the form of an opened scroll with tassels on each side and a garland framing the blank center. The back has a simple C clasp and pin stem.
This brooch weighs 17.7 gr. It measures 1.75" tall by 2.75" across.
Condition is over all good. There is typical surface wear and tarnish as expected for its age. The pin stem is a little loose at the hinge, but appears to have been made that way.
Add your own monogram or have a personal message engraved on this brooch to make a special gift for someone.
