c.1950s Mexican Taxco Eagle Mark Sterling Silver Flower Brooch

This is a lovely circa 1950s early eagle mark Mexican Taxco sterling silver flower brooch. The brooch is marked twice on the back STERLING 925 HECHO EN MEXICO plus the early delineated eagle mark with a 3 inside indicating it was made in Taxco. The brooch is in the form of a flower with 3 tiers of leaves arced downward, around a tight center cluster. This is framed by a pair of naturalistic leaves and a curved stem. The back has a standard pin stem and functional roll over safety clasp.

The brooch weighs 9.8 gr. It measures 2.25" across x 1.5" high x .625" thick.

Condition is good. It has not been cleaned and there is natural patina present.

This is an excellent example of mid 20th century Mexican hand crafted silver work.
