This is a very interesting 12.5" tall ethnic Indonesian cloth lady doll. She is dressed in a traditional costume including batik trousered skirt, blouse with silk collar and rosette at neck and orange satin sleeves, amazing high heeled shoes and lots of jewelry. She wears 2 bracelets, beaded belt, necklace earrings and beaded hair ornament. One earring is missing. Her hair is detailed in paint to indicate being shaved in back and sides and then drawn up into a bun on top of the head. Her head has ink drawn facial features. Her nose and ears are well defined. Her hands are flat mits stitched to indicate fingers.
Condition: Her left ear is a replacement and she is missing an earring in that ear as well. There is a cloth patch over the instep of her right foot.
It is my best guess that she represents an Indonesian culture, based on photos I have seen from that region. If anyone knows better, I am open to suggestion. She is a fascinating and very well made regional doll.
