This is a Victorian period Masons or Shriners sword brooch with 3 dangling Roman style coins. The brooch is unmarked brass. The curved scimitar style sword bears several cryptic markings on the blade. The 3 Roman style coins each have a head of the god Mercury on the front, and are plain on the back. The back of the brooch has a simple pin stem and C clasp.
The brooch measures 2.875" long x 1".
Condition is good with expected tarnish.
Note that the 'coins' are not real coins. This is a mysterious old brooch sure to add interest to your garb.
