c.1880s Tan Cotton Twill Coat w/ Soutache for Antique Doll 18"-20"

This is a very fine circa 1880s tan cotton twill coat with dark brown soutache braid trim suitable for an antique bisque, china or papier mache doll approximately 18"-20" tall. Please check measurements for exact fit. The coat has a narrow collar, patch pockets and decorative black glass gilded buttons down the front. The back is fitted and has a back waistband. It closes by means of 3 hooks.

Measurements: The coat measures 13" from shoulder to hem, 8" flat across chest between armholes, 8.25" flat across the waist, 3" flat across neckline at the top, 5.25" long sleeves from shoulder to cuff, 3" flat across armhole, 2" flat across cuff, and 11.5" flat across bottom hem.

Condition: fabric is sturdy. The hooks and eyes are rusty. There are 2 small holes - one in front and one in back. There are a couple of small brown stains and one larger brown stain in back. The bottom glass button is chipped.

This is an excellent piece of period doll clothing to add to your antique doll's wardrobe.
