This is a classic circa 1940s vintage sterling silver gold vermeil double snake rope chain necklace. The chains are 15" and 15.5" long, so one will hang slightly below the other. The 2 chains attach to the original decorative clasp. The clasp is marked STERLING followed by a small symbol that resembles an 8.
The necklace weighs 19.6 gr. The wearable length (based on shorter chain) is 15". The chains are approximately 2.5mm in diameter.
Condition is overall good. There is some wear to the gold finish. I have not polished the necklace so there is patina.
This necklace is so comfortable to wear. The snake chains drape and conform to the lines of your neck beautifully.
