This is a lovely early Victorian period seed pearl brooch with 14K setting. This was probably originally a single earring or small pendant with tiny seed pearls strung onto layers of mother of pearl bases, but it was later reset as a brooch with a solid sheet of fitted 14K gold on the back and a pin stem with roll over safety clasp. There are no markings on the setting but it tests positive for 14K gold.
The brooch measures 1.25" x .75" and is about .25" thick.
Condition: the brooch is missing a few of the seed pearls - please see photos.
