Jade Mouse on Flower Chinese Qing 19thc. En Tremblant Hair Pin Ornament

This is a 19th century Qing dynasty period Chinese carved jade hair pin en tremblant, with a spring so it moves. The jade stone is light green and is carved to resemble a mouse on a flower, or at least that's hwat I think I am seeing. There are no markings. The metal tests as brass.

This hair pin weighs 3.4gr. It measures a total length of 4". The jade portion is .75" long by about .5" across.

Condition is good with expected patina and irregularities in the pin prong from use.

This elegant hair accessory was a must have addition to the coiffure of aristocratic Chinese ladies in the 1800s. Each one is carved slightly differently, and several could be worn at once. I have a small collection of them that I will be be offering individually.
