1930s-40s Vintage Molded Porcelain Child Doll Face Brooch

This is an interesting circa 1930s-1940s vintage molded porcelain child doll face brooch. The porcelain face is molded in full relief and is hollow in back. There are 2 holes made in the top so the face can be suspended by a ribbon from a small brooch pin above. The painted facial features are fired on and not just superficially painted. There are no visible markings, but there are remnants of brown paper still pasted on the back that might be covering some marks. The cream colored satin ribbon is tied in a decorative bow above the face and a small gold tone lace pin is attached to the back of the bow.

The brooch including the pin and bow above has a total length of 2.75". The face alone measures 1.5" x 2.25" and is about .75" deep.

Condition is good.

This would be a sweet piece of jewelry for a doll collector to wear.
