This is a sweet early 1900s antique cotton doll dress gathered below a lace trimmed eyelet yoke. The yoke and sleeves are trimmed with lace. The bottom of the dress has a deep ruffle. It pins to close in back. This dress would be suitable for a bisque doll approximately 17"-20" tall. Originally the body of the dress had a rose print design but this has totally faded away in the front and is faintly visible in the back. Probably factory made.
The dress measures 12.5" from shoulder to hem, 4" flat across the neckline, 6" long sleeves from top of shoulder, 2.5" flat across armhole, and 20" flat across bottom hem. Gathers make the chest measurement suitable for a wide range of sizes.
Condition: Print is faded. There are some brown stains near the bottom in front. I would suggest washing with a little bleach to remove stains and make this an all white dress since the print is basically already gone.
This would be a lovely dress for an antique bisque baby or toddler doll.
