This is a wonderful circa early 1900s hand made mini wooden Swiss chalet scale model house. The only history I have on it is that it was made in France in the early 1900s. The house does not open up, but makes for a wonderful display with small doll house dolls. The windows appear to have cellophane window panes over paper cut outs and plaid fabric to simulate curtains. the house is skillfully constructed with realistic architectural details
The house measures 8" x 10" x 8.5".
Condition is over all good. It is a bit dusty. There are a couple of molding strips missing from the back edge of the roof line.
I wish I knew the purpose this little house was made for. It would be could have been part of a display with either dolls or model trains.
