This is a quaint first edition 1850 book titled 'Flowers of Literature and Ladies' Keepsake'. It is a compilation of "a selection from some of the best authors' assembled "by a lady of Rhode Island". It was printed in 1850 in Providence ,Rhode Island by Albert C. Greene printer. There is an inverse binding error in this book. The cover was bound on it backwards. The book contains literature, poetry and short essays for women. The frontis has an engraved portrait of Jenny Lind printed on pink paper. the cover is brown cloth with gold lettering and design.
The book is in average condition for a book of this age. It has some age discoloration and wear on the ends of the spine. It is intact. the book measures 7.125" x 4.25" x .5".
