This is an early 1900s dark navy blue black straw boater hat suitable for a large antique bisque doll. The china doll bust that it is modeled on has about a 14" head circumference to give you some idea of scale and size. A larger bisque doll would be more suitable. This hat appears to have never been worn or used. It still has an old store tag clipped to the label. The tag says Evelynvaron model New York Creation 22. The hat has a netting attached that is very fragile and falling apart, but the hat itself is in good condition. The netting can be left as is, easily removed or replaced if wished. The interior of the hat has a ribbon band around the crown and a chin strap cord.
Measurements: Total diameter across is 9". Circumference around outer brim is about 29". Interior diameters of crown are 5.25" x 5.75". Interior circumference is 15". Crown is 2" deep. Brim is 2" wide.
If you have a large bisque doll from the early 1900s in need of a new topper, this fine hat may complete her outfit.
