This is an interesting pair of antique cloth lady dolls in regional costumes. I have been told various conflicting information about their origins, from Spain, Portugal, and also South America. The oldest doll is the tallest one with light brown skin, standing 9.5" tall. Her slightly younger friend is 8" tall. Their kinship is clear in the manner of construction and costume details. They both have little acorn style hats. The taller lady has black wool hair arranged in a bun trimmed with steel beads. The smaller doll has sparse brown hair. Both dolls has complex regional costumes with corsets. They also both have remarkably detailed finger construction and turned out feet.
If you fancy interesting old cloth dolls then this interesting pair may suit you.
