This is a beautiful Art Nouveau scarf clip in the form of a bust of a lady in vermeil, gold over sterling silver, with rhinestone accents. It is marked 925 for silver content. Rhinestones embellish the diadem around her head and the collar of her garment. There was an empty loop for a dangle below and I have added a single rhinestone drop, but a pearl might also be nice. The back has a clip that snaps open and closed. It has depth to accommodate a thin scarf or a thick ribbon, worn around the neck and clasped with the clip.
This piece weighs 9.4 gr. It measures 1.75" long x .875" across x .625" thick with the clip back.
Condition is good but note that the tiny rhinestone drop has been added and is not sterling.
This is a most unique piece of high Art Nouveau style jewelry.
