This is a circa late 1800s classical style sterling silver brooch featuring a graduated row of 4 Roman style coins. The brooch is unmarked, but the metal tests positive for silver content of sterling grade. The Roman style coins are not real coins, but were made in that style to represent Roman coins. The back has an old fashioned T hinged pin stem and covered tubular C clasp closure.
The brooch weighs 14.1 gr. It measures 2.375" x .875".
Condition is good with expected patina.
