This is an attractive vintage circa 1930s-1940s silver plated 16" necklace with abstract snail shaped links. There are no markings. The necklace metal tests as silver plated. It is composed of 17 snail shaped links connected to each other by small plain round links. The clap is a typical old fashioned spring ring type. The large links have a hammered texture in the center oval surrounded by smooth finished swirls.
The necklace is 16" long. The 'snail' links each measure .875" x .375".
Condition is good, with expected patina from age.
This necklace reflects the influence of both Art Deco and Arts & Crafts design.
