This is a well made early 1900s cotton print doll dress suitable for a large bisque or composition doll approximately 20" - 22" tall. The dress is home made machine sewn by someone with excellent skills. The print is a tiny black floral against a white background. The dress has a lined yoke and the dress gathers to the yolk without a waistline. The sleeves are long, with a plain band cuff. It closes in back with 2 button holes. One mother of pearl button remains and one is missing. Remind me and I'll include another button.
The dress measures 14.5" from shoulder to hem, 7" flat across the chest between armholes, 3" flat across the neckline, 3" flat across the armhole, 1.25" flat across the cuff, and 24" flat across the bottom hemline.
Condition is overall good. There is one small dark stain on the back of the dress near the hem. There is one small hole near the bottom hem in front.
Given the small size of the cuffs this is definitely a doll dress and not a child's. The small scale print is perfect for dolls. This is a lovely everyday play dress for a child doll.
