Early 1900s Cotton Print Dress & Nightgown for 16-18" Bisque Doll
The dress is very well made, all hand stitched, with a contrasting print used for the belt and to trim the cuffs and neckline. The belt is contained by belt loops on the sides and closes with a single mother of pearl button in the front. The body of the dress has wide vertical pleats. The bottom hem line utilizes a selvage so no turned up hem is needed. Condition: There are a couple of brown stains on the lower front. The dress measures 11.5" from top to bottom, 7" flat across the chest between underarms, 2.5" flat across armholes, 2.25" flat across the top of the neckline, 2" flat across the armhole, 1" long sleeve, 7" across the dropped waist where the belt is, and 11" flat across the bottom hem.
The nightgown is plain off white cotton with lace trim around the bottom hem. It is mostly machine sewn. It opens in the back and has no closure. Condition: The hem around the neckline has come undone and needs redoing. The nightgown measures 12" from top to bottom, 5.5" flat across the chest between underarms, 3" flat across neckline, 2" flat across armhole, 3.5" sleeve length from top of shoulder, 3" from top to bottom of bodice, 9" from bottom of bodice to bottom of hem, and 9.5" flat across bottom hem.
A nice pair of garments to add to your doll's wardrobe.
