This is a large vintage Mexican copper and brass Mayan priest pendant suspended from a long heavy necklace chain. The pendant is marked Hecho en Mexico on the back. The copper trapezoidal shaped pendant frames a brass figure of a cross legged seated Mayan priest holding up a cup. The background is black enameled or painted. The chain has oblong copper links alternating with round brass links. The clasp is a simple hook.
This necklace weighs 59.4 gr. The chain measures 26" long. The oblong links are each a little over .5" long, and the round links are almost .375" in diameter. The pendant is 2.25" tall, excluding the bail, by 2.25" across the base and 1.5" across the top.
Condition is good with appropriate uncleaned patina.
