Early 1900s Bisque Character Head w/ Hat German Model #6324 Jiggs wife Maggie

This is an amusing early 1900s German model #6324 bisque character head with detachable bisque hat that resembles the cartoon character Maggie, Jiggs wife. The head has molded and painted earrings, a receding chin, broad mouth with thin red painted lips, and short bobbed hair. It is marked with model number and Germany on the back of the base. Remnants of a string is still in place that once attached the hat to the head, probably through the head and attached to a cork on the other end.

This head measures 2.5" tall with the hat on and is about 1" in diameter across the base.

Condition: There is one chip on the brim of the hat.

What a homely but interesting character she is!
