This is a lovely antique Victorian period Pinchbeck gilded brass brooch set with 3 tear drop faceted stones, 1 amethyst framed by aquamarines. The stones have inclusions that lead me to believe that they may well be natural stones rather than artificial or glass stones. The setting is unmarked. The metal tests conform to Pinchbeck or brass alloy made to mimic gold. The back of the brooch has an old fashioned T hinged pin stem and simple c clasp.
The brooch measures 1.5" x 1.75". The stones each measure 15mm long. The center stone is 9mm wide and the 2 side stones are each 8mm wide at the top.
Condition is good.
This is a fine early Victorian period brooch to add to your collection of antique jewelry. Great for reenactment dress.
