This is a charming early 1800s English soft paste porcelain blue and white children's plate depicting a pair of birds inside a ringed border and titled 'For a good child'. This plate measures 7" in diameter. It is marked X 7 on the back.
Condition: There is an obvious crack from one edge and about 3/4 across the plate. Also 2 edge chips and some general wear to the glaze around the edges.
The image and motto on this little plate are so sweet I feel it still has merit despite the damage.
