Labeled 10" Bisque Doll w/ Compo Body & Original Regional Clothing
This doll is still dressed in her factory original clothing and wig. There is a label on her skirt that reads "Valley of Spree (near Dresden)". Her clothing consists of pantaloons, petticoat, red wool skirt, satin apron, wool blouse, and trimmed with black velvet and red silk ribbons. Her blond mohair wig is topped by a lace hat. She wears black stockings and brown leather shoes.
Condition: The bisque head is in good condition without any chips, cracks or repairs. There is a tiny cheek rub on her left cheek. There is paint loss to the body on hands and arms. One shoe is missing a buckle. Her apron is showing some splitting and wear. Her necklace needs restringing. The head is slightly loosely strung to the body.
Thought he maker is unknown, this may be a German doll made for the French market.
