This is a fine little 8" tall Belton type glass eyed bisque shoulder head doll in her original Italian regional costume of the late 19th century. She has a cloth sawdust stuffed body and bisque arms and legs. Her many layered clothing consists of pantaloons, petticoat, velvet skirt, wool apron, corset like bodice over cotton blouse, and wool head scarf. Her bisque lower legs are encased in leggings and leather shoes. She has a dark brown mohair wig arranged in a double loop of braids in the back.
Condition: Bisque is all in good condition. There is a little sawdust leakage from the waist area in the back, so she may need a little reinforcement at some point.
