This 19" tall bisque socket head doll is a hard to find Simon & Halbig model 939, on her original ball jointed body. The bisque head has no cracks or repairs. There are some wig pulls - see photos. The head has big dark brown glass eyes in their original non sleep plaster setting. It is marked on the back of the head S 11 H above 939. The mouth is open cut and shows 4 teeth inside. The ears are pierced, though she has no earrings. She is missing her original pate and has a replacement human hair wig. The body has typical play wear and tear, and there has been some repainting on the body around the socket neckline area.
Her antique clothing consists of a knitted camisole, cotton pantaloons, petticoat, socks and shoes (shoes are reproduction replacements). Her dress is a fine cotton lawn with pink ribbon trim and deep sailor collar.
This item is offered on behalf of the Coleman Collection. Other select items will be posted from this collection as well.
She is a special beauty. Love those dark eyes.
