1940s Sterling Silver Sleeve Garter Bracelet w/Decorative Slide
This is a circa 1940s sterling silver black enameled sleeve garter bracelet with decorative silver slide set with rhinestones. Both the black enameled expandable metal mesh band and the silver slide test positive for silver content of sterling grade. There are no visible markings. The slide may be marked inside but so far I haven't managed to open it. It is hinged on one side and has a tab to open on the other, but it is being stubborn.

This bracelet weighs 33 gr. It measures 6.75" interior circumference when at rest, but the band readily stretches for ease of wear.
Condition is over all good. There is a little edge wear to the black enamel showing some silver.
This bracelet would have originally been part of a pair of sleeve garters, an attractive way to roll up ones sleeves!
