c. 1930s Porcelain Grecian Lady w/ Lyre Cameo Dress Clip

This beautiful circa 1930s dress clip holds a porcelain cameo of a Grecian woman playing the lyre. The cameo is set in an octagonal bezel against a rectangular base. The figure is white, outlined in blue against a lighter blue background. The setting is a gold tone base metal. The clip has a patent number #1801128 which is traced to a patent filed by Anthony Waller of Providence, Rhode Island In 1930.

This dress clip weighs 15.1 gr. It measures 1" x 1.25".

Condition is good, with some expected age wear to the gold finish. The clip works well and has good spring.

This is a lovely classical motif. The gold of the setting sets off the blue and white of the cameo nicely.
