This is an unusual vintage French necklace with a silver plate and cold enameled pendant of a troubadour on bended knee serenading a lovely lady. The pendant is marked on the back DEPOS FRANCE. It tests as silver plated. The scene is set against a curved frame and leaves . The musician is playing a lute while the lady looks down upon him. They are wearing medieval style costumes. The pendant is attached to a of alternating long tapered links and small round ones. There is no clasp as the necklace is 24" around and long enough to go over the head.
The pendant measures 2" x 2".
Condition is good, though there is some wear to the rustic green painted enamel on the leaves.
Wouldn't this be a fun necklace to wear to a Renaissance festival?
