This is an antique 800 silver Roman coin ring in a US size 7 3/4. The band is partially stamped 800 on the outside of the band. I am presuming that the coin may be a copy of an ancient Greek coin as I have no way to authenticate it, and it was popular during the late 1800s to make jewelry in this style. The image on the face of the ring is the head of Herakles (Hercules) with lion-skin helmet, and the obverse side has symbols of the city of Athens, though difficult to see.
This ring weighs 7 gr. The ring face measures .625" in diameter.
Condition is good with some minor soft wear to the details.
This would be a perfect ring for a man or woman who is an enthusiast of Greek antiquities.
