This is an attractive 18" tall antique German blond bisque shoulder head doll marked Germany and model number 137 and size number 6. She has a kid leather body with bisque lower arms. Her antique clothing consists of white cotton pantaloons and petticoat, topped by a cotton teal floral print dress with lace trim and an antique bar pin worn at her neckline. The shoulder head is marked in the back.
Condition: The shoulder head is in good condition. No chips, cracks, or repairs. There are some dark kiln specks mostly on the back of the shoulder plate, and one popped bubble in a curl of hair. The bisque arms are in good condition. The kid body has been peeled back from the head along the top edge and some tearing has occurred there because of this. There is also a leather patch at one knee joint. The lower legs have sewn on knit socks that I did not try to remove. The sleeves of her dress are worn and faded. There are some tears in the petticoat, and a trim separation on the pantaloons.
She is a pleasant girl with charming bangs, and is ready to join your collection
