This is an interesting large Middle Eastern tribal necklace composed of amber colored cylindrical beads and large silver tone metal coins connected by a long chain. The necklace is unmarked except for the writing on the coins. Metal content may have some low grade silver content, but below 800 silver. The amber colored beads were sold to me as real amber, and while I think it is possible they may be authentic I can't guarantee it. Beads do emit a faint resinous odor when warmed and rubbed. There are 12 coins of different sizes. They are worn from use. There is no clasp on the chain. It is amply long enough to slip over the head.
The necklace weighs an impressive 188.5 gr. The necklace measures 35" around, plus about a 5" drop for the pendant center piece. The 8 cylindrical beads each measure about 1" long by .75" in diameter. The largest coin is almost 1.5" across. The smallest are .625" across. The medium size coins are .875" across. The chain is .25" width.
Condition is generally good or typical for type. Note that the beads are old and have some scuffing and a few minor edge chips/wear. Coin details are worn from use.
This would be a super accent necklace for a bold woman or performance wear for a belly dancer!
