Barometer ~ Swift Instruments Inc. ~ desk model ~ early 1960's
This thermometer and barometer was made by Swift Instruments Inc., 25 Mass. in the early 60's. It is a desk top model, and was personalized with a name plate in 1963. (the name plate could be easily changed if you wanted)
One face shows temperature and humidity, and the other shows rising and falling barometric pressure, as well as the indications of stormy or clearing weather.
The barometer is in excellent working order. The brass-tone metal surface has some discoloring, but doesn't detract. The wood base is in very nice condition.
This desktop model measures approx. 8 5/8"L x 4 1/2"H x 2"D.
