Antique Art Nouveau Sterling Silver Purse R. Blackington Co. ca. 1910s

Antique Art Nouveau Aesthetic sterling silver dance purse of the Edwardian era features repousse scroll and leaf decoration with a cartouche on both sides, push in locking clasp, chain, and original satin silk lining. It marked with the R. Blackington Co. hallmark, sterling and number 2494. It measures 3 3/4 by 3 inches, hangs 8 3/4 inches, and weighs 119 grams. It has a monogram on one side in a central cartouche and is in very good condition with minor surface scratches consistent with its age and the original lining has water stains and wear.
