Hester Bateman Georgian Sterling Silver Serving Spoon London Antique

Antique Hester Bateman sterling silver serving spoon bears the lion passant standard mark, jester city mark for London, date letter l for 1786, the monarch tax duty mark, and the maker's mark HB for Hester Bateman. The spoon features a classic thick silver handle that leads into the back of the bowl. The condition is very good with light surface scratches and monogram W. It measures 8 1/8 inches and weighs 47 grams.

This lovely spoon is a very fine example of Georgian era silver by renowned silversmith Hester Bateman.
