Antique Edwardian 10K Gold Diamond Stick Pin
Crafted in solid 10K yellow gold, and hallmarked as such. Bears a maker's mark of 'SM & S', which is the mark for Scofield, Melcher & Scofield of Plainville, MA, USA.
Unusual design appears to be an interpretation of the usual inverted teardrop shape. (This piece makes me think of a seahorse oddly enough.)
Claw-set with a 1.7 mm Old European cut diamond - approximately 2 points.
Stickpin measures 2.81" from top to bottom, with a maximum width of 0.36" from side to side. Weighs 1.08 grams.
Condition is excellent, with no damages or repairs.
