Vintage 800 Silver Marcasite Shell Cameo Brooch/Pin Pendant
Crafted in .800 silver, and hallmarked as such upon the frame.
Beautiful shell cameo carving of a woman with upswept hair. Ornate frame with sweeping arms that hold the cameo firmly in place. Each arm is finished with a tiny rose-cut genuine marcasite.
Back of the piece has the original early locking clasp, as well as a bail for wearing upon a necklace chain.
Brooch measures 1.38" from top to bottom and 1.13" from side to side. Weighs 6.8 grams.
Very good condition, with no repairs. Slight dryness fracture on one side of cameo noted, to hind-side of neck. Cleaned and ready to wear.
